Exploring on the weekends.

Sorry! I Know I have been taking forever to update the blog. We have had a little bit of a busy week.
But with Kurt's internship and with me working, we pretty much only have the weekends to go out and see things.
Last weekend we went to the mall.  Usually I have to drag Kurt out of the house by his toes to go to the mall with me. But this place had Kurt's name written all over it :)
The Washington Mall was built so that the Lincoln memorial, Washington monument, Capitol building, Jefferson memorial and the White house all align.  We are still so amazed that we live so close to everything. But we definitely are taking advantage of it, thats for dang sure :)
Yes, this is the place where Jenny ran through the water to Forest Gump hah.
Except this time the water is missing! We weren't too happy about it. But hopefully they will have it all done by the fourth of July. (This is where we are going for the 4 July celebration)
We also stopped at all of the memorials in between
The WWII Memorial. (above)
The Vietnam Memorial (above) They had all the names of the soldiers that died. Starting with the first person, to the last four that all died at the same time.
This was the coolest statue! Albert Einstein. Before you leave the Washington Mall, you have to rub his nose. ( No not an actual rule, we pretty much made it up)
This day was so fun! The sights were amazing! We are loving it here.
Then we ended the day with  Ethiopian food. Yep, it tastes exactly how it looks... HORRIBLE.  And super expensive. Doesn't really make sense to us. But hey thats just our own opinion.
