Memorial weekend in DC... Amazing? Yes.

I have a ton of catching up to do. I am a couple weeks behind. But I wanted to go back a bit to memorial weekend.
On Sunday, we went to the capitol building for the National Memorial Day Concert. It was so amazing to be there. The stories were heart touching and the music was awesome.
We had to arrive 3 hours early to get a good spot. It was extremely hot, we should of followed the guys example behind us and put a jacket over our faces.
Yes yes, Chris Allen performed :) and all the girls drooled as all the husbands scowled.

Chris Allen is the only performer I knew hah so thats the one I was most excited about. Our camera is horrible so you have to look real close and you can see him.
What a great way to remember our soldiers who gave and are risking their lives for our country.
On Memorial Day, we went to Arlington cemetery to hear the president speak.
And of course on our way we passed some cruel protesters. But we learned that people who support the war, stand in front of the protesters who don't support the war and hold great big signs. We thought that was way cool of them.
Standing outside the amphitheater listening to the presidents speech. (Picture below)
We got stopped when we were walking into the cemetery. They blocked off the road for 45 mins so the president could drive through. So we didnt make it into the amphitheater, but we did see the president drive through... So that was cool.
One of the best memorial day weekends we have ever had.
